Accomplished dancer, Jane Patterson, having been violated by her present day dance teacher, Mr. Stone, since she was a child, is forced to confront her troubled past after experiencing problems being affectionate in her romantic relationship and coming to the realization that Stone’s behavior is affecting other young girls at the studio. Through flashbacks of Jane's past experiences of sexual assault by Mr. Stone during their private dance practices, the reason for her lack of affection in the present day is slowly revealed, and seeing that Mr. Stone’s behavior is affecting another young dancer at the studio, Annabelle, she decides to face Mr. Stone, even if it means putting her invitation to attend Juilliard at risk.
